This is my side blog for all things that interest me that have nothing to do with fandoms. Filled with great metal, great prog, and anything else I feel like posting. Have a few daily ideas, like album art and of course, the metal alphabet.

So, tonight I saw Ghost live for the second time, with Ides of Gemini. First of all, Ides of Gemini are pretty awesome. The vocals are so unique and amazing, and I’m glad to have witnessed such a great live band. Anyway, Ghost was pretty phenomenal. They even premiered one of their new songs as an encore, Ghuleh/Zombie Queen, and I have to say that may have been the highlight of the night for me. The first time I heard the new album, I wasn’t too impressed, but now, after hearing some of the songs live, I think I’m ready to give it another chance.

Papa was incredibly creepy, again. Just like the last time, I felt like he was staring into my soul, and it’s still pretty weird. But he really does know how to put on a show and keep everyone entertained. He made the crowd sing a few times, which was fun, and I was shouting with everyone else so much that I had to ice my jaw later in the night. It was incredibly fun!

Ghost is one of my favorite live bands because they’re so consistently good and actually do more than just stand on stage and play music. Their set is a performance, with the costumes and the creepy atmosphere, and it’s great! If you haven’t seen Ghost live, I suggest checking them out at least once or as many times as you can!
